Does Saladita require that I have prior experience to start wing foiling or kiteboarding?
No experience is required for beginners’ courses! Both our Discovery Wing and Discovery Kite courses are designed for newcomers, covering all the basics, including safety, setup, and control. Our instructors will guide you step-by-step, so you can learn comfortably and safely.
What’s included in the lesson price?
All lessons include full equipment (kite or wing, board, helmet, and life jacket). Jetski support is also included in specific courses to enhance your learning experience and ensure safety.
How many days will it take to become an independent wingfoiler or kiteboarder?
Saladita's courses in both wing foiling and kiteboarding are designed to take you from beginner to independent rider in 5-7 days. However, each person learns at their own pace, so additional lessons may be helpful for some.
What should I bring with me for my lessons?
Bring swimwear, sunscreen, a water bottle, and a towel. If you have a wetsuit, it may be useful depending on the season. All other equipment will be provided.
What are the age requirements for wing and kite lessons?
Saladita recommends that participants are at least 12 years old and able to swim confidently for 15 minutes in open water. Minors require parental consent.
Are there accommodations or other activities nearby?
Yes, La Ventana has a variety of accommodations, from beachfront hotels to cozy guesthouses. The area also offers activities like snorkeling, paddleboarding, mountain biking, trail running, and local dining spots to explore after a day on the water. If you're booking with Saladita and don't have a rental car or an easy way to get around, we recommend staying in El Sargento so that you can easily and conviniently make it to your lessons.
What course should I take if I’m new to wing foiling?
The Discovery Wing Course is best for absolute beginners, covering all the fundamentals. If you’re ready to commit to learning fully, our Complete Wingfoil Course will take you from zero to independent rider.
Can I book a private wing foiling session?
Yes, private and semi-private sessions are available for all skill levels. Private sessions are ideal for those seeking focused, personalized coaching.
Is kiteboarding difficult to learn?
Kiteboarding does have a learning curve, but our instructors make it accessible with a structured approach that builds skills step-by-step. Most beginners can expect to gain control over the kite within a few hours and move toward independent riding in 5-7 days with consistent practice.
