Hiking in Park City - Privately Guided Waterfall Hikes

The Park City hiking trails are some of the best in the country, and there's no better way to spend the day than hiking and floating in Provo Canyon! Your day begins with two beautiful waterfall hikes in Provo Canyon. Enjoy deep pine forests and canyon overlooks while hiking to both falls. Each hike starts at the river and ends at the base of the falls. Each hike takes about 30-45 minutes round trip. Both falls are only a few-minute drive from each other and about a 5-minute drive from our float site keeping you out of the car and in the sun!
After a quick snack, we'll head to the float site to wash off the dirt with a summer float the Provo River! This is a refreshing float through one of Utah’s most scenic canyons, where towering granite cliffs, lush evergreens, and crystal-clear waters create the perfect outdoor escape. Our professionally trained guides prioritize your safety and happiness as they help you make memories you won't soon forget!
Choose your adventure—paddle your way downstream in a two-person inflatable kayak or relax in a guided raft for 6 people. This 5-mile journey features class I-II rapids, offering a mild yet exciting trip suitable for all experience levels. Along the way, keep an eye out for fish and birds, and soak in the stunning mountain-fed waters of the Provo River. To make the trip even more fun, we have water guns to shoot obstacles along river (or others willing to get wet!).
There's no better way to experience the gorgeous Park City scenery than from the trail and the river! Ready to experience one of Park City’s best outdoor adventures? Book your Provo River float today!

FAQs

What is the difficulty level of the rafting trip?

The trip features class I-II rapids, making it a mild yet fun adventure suitable for all experience levels, including families and beginners.

Can we try both rafting & kayaking?

Want to try both rafting and kayaking? If your group wants to raft down the river but also take turns paddling in the kayak, we can bring both so everybody has a chance to do each activity. (4 person minimum)

What is the difference between rafting and kayaking?

The rafts hold 6-9 people and are captained by the guide who sits in a frame on the back.  The guide does all the paddling so you just have to sit back and relax.  Rafts are perfect for small kids (35 pounds and up), older folks and or those who do not want to get super wet. The kayaks hold 1-2 people and you do all the paddling.  We usually have a guide kayak for every 3 kayaks so they are always nearby to help and teach you.  Zero previous kayaking experience is required because the guide will tell you everything you need to do.  If you want more of a whitewater experience, choose the kayaks because you are closer to the rapids so you can really feel them, plus you get more wet.

Is there a minimum number of guests?

All of our float trips are private trips so we do require a 4 person minimum. If you have less than 4 guests, you will just have to pay the 4 person minimum.

Do you offer floats on weekends?

Due top the river being extremely busy with local tubers on weekends, we only offer float trips Monday through Friday, with some exceptions for large groups.

Do I need prior experience?

No experience is necessary! Our guides will provide a safety briefing and instructions before the trip.

What are the hikes like?

You’ll visit two scenic waterfalls in Provo Canyon. Each hike is a 30-45 minute round trip, starting at the river and ending at the base of a waterfall. Both hikes are short, moderate, and family-friendly.

Is the terrain suitable for beginners and kids?

Yes! The hikes are relatively easy and great for all ages. Children should be comfortable walking on uneven terrain.

Will I have time to change before rafting?

Yes! After the hikes, you’ll have time to grab a snack, change into rafting gear, and prepare for the float.
