Description
Full-Day Trinity River Whitewater Rafting - Pigeon Point
Get ready for a full day of whitewater excitement on one of the most beloved stretches of the Trinity River! Perfect for both first-time rafters and seasoned paddlers, the Pigeon Point full-day trip offers a longer, more immersive adventure through splashy Class II and III rapids, stunning scenery, and plenty of riverside fun.
As you paddle downriver, you’ll work as a team to navigate iconic rapids like The Slot, Z-Drop, Fishtail, Pinball, and the infamous Hell’s Hole, where a thrilling plunge through a narrow chute gets the heart pounding. The longer format gives you more time to enjoy the water, play in mellow pools, and soak in the beauty of the surrounding Shasta-Trinity National Forest.
Midway through the trip, we’ll stop at a scenic riverside beach for a hearty organic deli-style lunch featuring fresh veggies, turkey, salami, homemade salsa & hummus, fruit, and dessert. Vegetarian and gluten-free options available upon request.
For the more adventurous, we offer the option to paddle a single or tandem inflatable kayak (aka "ducky") for an even more hands-on, thrilling experience. At the takeout, you'll have the opportunity to view and purchase photos of your crew powering through Hell’s Hole—always a trip highlight!
This full-day trip is a great way to experience the excitement and beauty of the Trinity River at a relaxed pace, with plenty of time for splashing, swimming, and creating unforgettable memories.

What to Bring / Wear
To stay comfortable and safe on the river, here’s what we recommend bringing:
- Swimsuit or Swim Trunks – Quick-drying and non-cotton materials like nylon or polypropylene work best.
- Light, Breathable Clothing – Wear moisture-wicking layers (NO jeans or heavy cotton).
- Hat or Visor – A low-profile hat that fits under a helmet is ideal (avoid wide-brimmed styles).
- Sunglasses – Bring inexpensive or secure sunglasses (think gas station shades) and add a strap to keep them in place.
- Secure Footwear – Wear water shoes or sandals that strap to your feet. No flip flops—you’ll need something that stays on in the water.
