MTB Classes For Beginners

If you’re new to mountain biking, Fundamental Skills Clinics are the place to start. Beginner mountain bike classes will give you the foundation you need to start your journey. You’ll learn the basics of mountain biking, including how to handle your bike, how to shift gears, and how to navigate rough terrain. Their experienced coaches will be with you every step of the way, helping you build confidence and skills. Whether you’re looking for full-day, half-day, or women’s only clinics, there are options for every rider!

MTB Classes For Intermediate and Advanced Riders

For more experienced riders, Ninja MTB offers intermediate and advanced mountain bike classes and courses to help you take your riding to the next level. You’ll learn new techniques, how to tackle more challenging trails, and how to become a more confident and skilled rider. 

Our 2-day Mountain Bike Skills camp gives you a chance to build up and clean up your toolbox of mountain biking skills; from the fundamentals to  wheels lifts, high-speed cornering, drops, technical features and so much more! 

If you’re ready to learn to jump, join us for a Jumping Clinic as we take you through a series of progressions that will help you understand all the components that come together to create a successful jump. By the end of this clinic, our goal is to have you successfully clearing a 4-5 foot jump (approximately 2 feet in the air) and landing safely and predictably.

Kids Mountain Bike Classes

Are your kids between the ages of 8-11 and excited about mountain biking? In the Kids Fundamental Skills Clinic, we cover the key skills they need to become a safer and more proficient rider (all while having FUN)! We recognize that kids learn differently than adults, so we have developed a kid-friendly, fun and engaging curriculum that covers the key foundational skills that every young mountain biker should learn.  Through games, drills and trail riding, your kid will leave with a new level of confidence on their bike and more tools in their riding toolbox.

2-Day Mountain Bike Skills Camp

This curriculum is specifically designed for adult learners. We recommend riders age 15-17 attend with a parent or adult (minimum age 15). 

Fundamental Skills & Jump Clinics

This curriculum is specifically designed for adult learners. We recommend riders under age 15 attend with a parent or adult (minimum age 11).

Kids Fundamental Skills

Kids Clinics are specifically designed for youth ages 8-11.

*Please note, we require 2 years riding experience or previous attendance at a Ninja Fundamentals Clinic, Intermediate/Advanced Clinic, Camp or Adventure to attend a Jumping Mini-Clinic.

Which Ninja event is right for me?

When should I expect information on when and where to meet for my event?

3 days prior to your clinic! Information on exactly where to meet, what to bring and other important details will be posted on the Event Information Page. A link to the Event Information Page is included in your registration confirmation email. We will send you an email 3 days prior to your clinic with a reminder to check the Event Information Page.

Are rental bikes available?

We do not demo or rent bikes through Ninja.  If you need a bike for your clinic, we suggest contacting your local bike shop or outdoor recreation store.  If you need assistance finding a local resource with rentals, contact us!  We are more than happy to help you find a local rental resource.

What’s the difference between a clinic, camp, and adventure?

Each of our events offers something a little different.  From focusing a specific skills, a group of skills progressions or just out shredding some rad single-track.  Venues vary too, from local community parks to bike parks in far-away countries!  To learn all the details and choose which is right for you, check here.

Do I need pads?

Pads are always a great idea, especially as you’re challenging yourself to try new things on the trail! 

What is Ninja Event Insurance?

Ninja Event Insurance is offered at checkout and if purchased, this insurance allows you to cancel your registration up to 48 hours prior to the start of your event and still receive a full credit.   You MUST purchase Ninja Event Insurance at checkout for this coverage.  Any cancellations without Ninja Event Insurance, or within 48 hours of your event, will be handled according to our standard cancellation policy.

Are there any prerequisites for a mini Jumping Clinic?

Yes. You must have a minimum of two years mountain biking experience and/or have attended a Fundamentals or Int/Advanced Clinic to participate in a mini jumping clinic. Riders under the age of 15 must attend a Ninja Fundamentals before attending a Jumping Mini-Clinic, no exceptions.

Are there any prerequisites for an intermediate/advanced clinic?

Yes. You must have have a minimum of two years of riding experience and/or have taken a Fundamentals Clinic in order to attend and Int/Advanced Clinic.  

Do you offer private instruction?

Yes, we offer private instruction in areas where we have instructors available. You can find details, pricing and other information about private instruction here.  If you’d like to connect with an instructor in your area, please contact us to discuss instructor availability.

Are your instructors certified?

Yes. All of our instructors are BICP/IMBA Certified or PMBI Certified.

Are e-bikes allowed? 

Ninja welcomes e-bikes at our clinics that are held on e-bike friendly trails. We encourage you to do your own research on local e-bike regulations and if you aren’t sure, check with us to see if e-bikes are permitted at the venue you’re considering joining us at. Please note, not all Ninja teaching venues are open to e-bikes.

What level of fitness do I need in order to attend a camp or clinic?

You do not have to be an elite athlete to attend or participate in ANY of our clinics—basic health and fitness is just fine! However, it should be noted that some of our camp locations are more demanding than others, and do require more of a fitness base. If you are concerned about this, please contact us to check for the recommended fitness level of the camp you’re interested in.

What happens if rain is in the forecast at my camp or clinic?

Clinics and Camp may be rescheduled because of rain or other inclement weather. We will notify you with as much notice as possible if a reschedule of your camp or clinic is required.

Gratuity

While gratuity is not required or expected, it’s certainly appreciated by your instructors! 5-10% for each guest is Industry Standard for exceptional service, support, and expertise. Unless you’d like to tip separately, instructors divide tips among themselves.

Weather

We do our best to host clinics, rain or shine. In the event conditions are unsafe, trails are closed or if riding trails will cause damage, we will reschedule your event (season dependent) and/or provide a transfer credit applicable to any future Ninja event nationwide.
