Multi-Day Canyoneering Courses in Utah

Experience the best slot canyons on the planet with a Multi-Day Canyoneering Adventure. Multi-day tours provide more slots, more scrambling, and more rappels all while enjoying the magic and beauty of Utah’s incredible canyon country. With over one hundred unique canyoneering routes to choose from, there is a lifetime of exciting and fun challenges to explore.
Come and explore one of America’s most beautiful and amazing wilderness areas; a vast and extraordinary landscape of sweeping slickrock, beautifully sculpted sandstone cliffs, and narrow twisting canyons that have challenged and amazed wilderness adventurers since the late 1800s.
Our multi-day canyoneering tour is an exciting and adventurous way to explore these area’s hidden slot canyons that beckon adventurers from around the world. At Get in the Wild, our adventures are unique as they take us through some of the last known places to be mapped in the United States.
Our well-trained, expert guides will tailor your adventure based on your fitness and experience, individual preferences, and current weather conditions. We’ll also show you some tips and tricks along the way to help build confidence and ensure a fun, safe, and enjoyable day in the canyons.

Itinerary for Multi-Day Canyoneering Adventure

Your Adventure begins with a warm welcome from your guide who will provide an overview of the exciting canyoneering route options to choose from. With over six million acres of spectacular and awe-inspiring canyons to explore and dozens of exciting route options, rest assured we’ll select the perfect option to complement you and your group.
Options include a magnificent route through a red rock canyon system as beautiful and breathtaking as the Grand Canyon. This route offers a wide variety of fun, exciting, and beginner-friendly challenges that include hiking, scrambling, squeezing, rappelling, and downclimbing through intricately carved, fluted layers of Navaho Sandstone. Our exit hike from the canyon is equally impressive characterized by sweeping, slickrock vistas, colorful valleys, mesas, and buttes that follow the original path of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.
After deciding on our canyoneering route for the day, we will caravan by vehicle to the trailhead. Your guide will discuss the day’s itinerary, check everyone’s gear and provisions for the day, and have a short safety discussion and rappel practice before setting out on our day’s adventure.

FAQ

Do I need previous experience to participate?
No. This particular adventure is designed for beginners. We’ll teach you the ropes at the beginning, and then let you put into practice all your new skills.
What kind of snacks do you provide?
We are happy to include healthy and delicious snacks on our full-day outings. For snacks, we typically bring a nut mix and dried fruit along with us. We welcome you to bring some snacks of your own if you’ve got something specific you’d like.
Please note: we are happy to accommodate vegetarian, vegan, kosher, and gluten-free diets—after booking, just get in touch with us, and we’ll chat about your dietary needs!
Will there be cell service available?
There is usually little to no signal where we tour. It’s the perfect time to unplug and truly enjoy nature!
How strenuous is this trip?
This experience is customized to each group. This trip has a difficulty rating of 1-3 out of 5, which means you can expect easy hiking and scrambling using hands and feet for balance and support, with some moderate, sustained climbing and scrambling. A rope may be used for handlines, belays, rappels, and lowering packs.
How much solitude will we experience?
Expect to see no more than one or two groups on your trip.
How big are the groups?
On our group tours, we have a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 10 guests. If you'd prefer a private course,  you're welcome to book a private tour for 1-5 guests. Both group and private tours are available to book online at checkout.
What will the weather be like?
The area where we guide experiences four distinct seasons: moderate springs and falls, cool winters, and hot summers. Many consider the ideal weather in Canyon country to occur during spring (March-May) and fall (September-November). The sun shines throughout the year and the wind comes and goes throughout the seasons.
