Is knowing how to swim a requirement for the tour?
Rest assured, knowing how to swim is not required for the tour. We prioritize your safety and provide everyone with life jackets. Additionally, the water canal we paddle through is mainly 3 to 5 feet deep, ensuring a secure and enjoyable experience.
How stable are the kayaks, and is there a weight limit?
Tandem kayaks are much wider and extremely stable, designed to prevent tipping over. To ensure safety, they have a weight limit of 225 lbs (102kg) per person. — When loaded to its maximum capacity, the kayak will lose stability and maneuverability if the weight limit is exceeded. That is why it’s important not to overload a kayak beyond its weight capacity.
Can we bring our dog?
We adore pets, but unfortunately, our kayaks are not set up to accommodate our furry friends. This is primarily for their safety and to ensure a comfortable experience for all participants.
Do you offer single kayaks?
No, all of our kayaks are two-seater kayaks. In this case, all odd-numbered groups or solo kayakers will be paired up during the tour.
How do we navigate and see at night?
Our night tours are guided, and we provide low-intensity nighttime navigation lights to ensure you can see and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
What happens to the tour if it rains?
We monitor the weather closely. Light rain won’t stop us, but if conditions become unsafe, we will reschedule or refund your tour.
Weather Policy: If you choose not to attend without prior cancellation notice, you will be charged if the adventure proceeds. Tour cancellations may occur at the last minute or on-site.
Is bioluminescence always visible?
Bioluminescence is a natural phenomenon with varying intensity, and light pollution can affect visibility. When needed, a tarp is used to reduce light from the moon or artificial sources, as an extra step to help better appreciate the bioluminescence.
When is the best time to see the bioluminescence?
The bioluminescent intensity depends on weather conditions such as rain, tide, moon phase, sunlight and many other natural factors out of our control. Ideally, the best time to visit is around the new moon and during the dry months, December to March with a midsummer dry season June to July.
