Our unique and off-the-beaten-path snowshoe tour offers some of the most breathtaking lake views and scenic snowshoeing in the area. Take a guided tour through the backcountry and explore the winter wonderland of South Lake Tahoe.
Leave the crowds of tourists behind as our top-rated guides take you away from the usual go-to landmarks. Our small group tours require virtually no experience at all. All of the equipment that you need will be provided including snowshoes and trekking poles are provided. Our safe and hidden areas allow you to go at your own pace as you take in the epic lake views.
If you are a beginner or first timer our expert guides will give you tips on how to snowshoe. If the challenging or expert level is what you are looking for our guides are more than happy to make that happen. Take photos of beautiful Lake Tahoe while you journey to some of our favorite photographic areas. Take in the scenery while our knowledgeable experts give you interesting information about the area. If you are wondering, "What if there is no snow on my date?", just book it! We can turn your snowshoe tour into a fun snow-spike hiking tour.
New to off-trail snowshoeing? Let Tahoe Outdoor Adventures lead the way and teach you fun snowshoeing techniques and tricks. All tours include instruction. Wear winter boots and powder/ski pants to keep your feet and legs dry while snowshoeing.

Location

Snowshoeing tours take place in the areas around South Lake Tahoe and the surrounding landscapes of the Sierra.  All of our tours depart from various locations in the area of South Lake Tahoe.  You will meet your guide at the trailhead where you will start and finish your tour.  Exact tour locations vary depending on weather, snowpack, and group ability levels. Our tour sites are within 10-20 minutes of anywhere in South Lake Tahoe.
